Trip to the DIY store...it won't the last. *Sigh*

We attempted a trip to the DIY store today with Maintenance Man, and the 3 destroyers.

It should have been a simple case of pop in grab what we need.

3 rounds of toilet trips, juice stops and lunch later we emerged from the bright lights and bustling Saturday afternoon DIY madness blinking in the sunlight armed with an outdoor broom.

If I were to sit here and list the endless tasks we need to complete in order to, er complete our home I would be here until next year.

Needless to say it'll be another exhilarating day trip out for this maintenance mad family next week?

We are so rock and roll.

The birth of Maintenance Mum

It suddenly dawned on me today that my role in life is that of "Maintenance Mum".

Ah and a new blog is born...

I spend my life maintaining everything from my home, finances, the husband and the children's happiness' and generally just keeping the peace. (Or at least trying!)

I will guide you through my world as MM in future blogs. A lot of it will focus heavily on the maintenance of my home...or house cos it's not quite a home yet.

I hope that one day I can say that my work here is done. Along the way I hope you will enjoy the journey with me. We will laugh (I hope), cry and nurse all the blisters along the way together. Or at least that is the plan.
